Pam tagged me and this is "Chinese Freeze Tag" in which I am supposed to list ten interesting facts about myself. I hope this doesn't bore all of you to tears.
1. If I sit in the driver's seat of a car, I shut my eyes when I see a vehicle coming from the opposite direction ( from practically anywhere, actually). Remember this if you are ever going to ask me for a lift.
2. The first time I see a tree, I check it out for climbing possibilities. I don't climb trees anymore, though.
3. I love long walks by myself.
4. I love long drives, preferably at night, preferably in the rain, preferably with someone who drives with their eyes open.
5. I make snap decisions on whether I like someone.
6. A person does not have to be nice for me to like them. If I like them, then niceness no longer matters.
7. When I was a child, I had to empty out my school bag on the verandah so that the family would know if I had brought yet another stray cat/kitten home.
8. At any given point in time, I'll have five books with me, each in various stages of being read. One out of these will be a book which I am reading for the first time. At least one will be a children's book. The others will be old favourites off my bookshelf.
9. If I hear the word hospital, I can psyche myself to a point where my blood pressure almost shoots off the BP apparatus thingie. I scare my whole family with this. I scare myself with this.
10. My favourite breakfast is steamed bananas with fried eggs. Don't knock it till you've tried it.
Here are the people I'm tagging. Mac, Shain, Jimmy, Rama, Hill Grandmom, Pickle, Bluebird, N, Desi Witch, Becky and Me the Syrian Xian.

i think i'd like the banana & egg thing too - i love to mix sweet & spicy together.
What a great list! I learned a lot about you. Like to never, ever be a passenger in your car if you're driving! I love the way you check out trees. How do you steam a banana? Sliced or whole? Peeled or in the peel?
Thanks for participating!
;-)
hey am sorry girl.
i cant even think of 2 interesting things about myself. quoting calvin, "my life has been one big bore from the beginning."
but i enjoyed ur list, though i am bit wary about the nature of ur breakfast :)
i am interested in the steamed bananas and fried eggs. would you share your receipe?
haaa... i did infact do a similar tag a while ago, titled "weird weird me" lol....but let me see..maybe i can come up with some facts that are not weird, but just plain interesting
yikes, tags always get me into a tizzy! will probably get to it after a while.
Good Job! Hello to you by way of Pam!
yikes, tagged.
will do i promise. I can never seem to think of anything when tagged.
I love steamed plantains and fried eggs and the leaf appams and dosas and chutney - all spread out.
yummm1!!!
and I do no.1 when i am in the passenger seat of roomie's car. and i love 4 too! and do 5 too.
@DW,
Yeah it is nice. Try it some time.
@Pam
Thanks for the tag. I enjoyed it.
And I don't drive. Seems safer to stay out of the driver's seat. But I'll shut my eyes if I'm in the passenger seat too:-)
We steam bananas with the peel. Normally the whole banana is put into the steamer, but a few cuts are scored on it so that it cooks evenly.
You can eat it with grated coconut. You can also eat it with fried eggs, sunny side up.
@rama
:-) That's fine.
And your life is quite interesting, so stop saying it's a bore.
@cats
welcome.
It's very simple actually. The recipe, if you can call it that, is given above.
@mac
looking forward to reading it.
@hgm
no hurry. it's just a nice way to get to know a little bit more about each other.
@sandy
nice of you to drop by. I thought your list was cool.
@me
:-) somewhere on the syrian x'ian family tree you and i share a food gene. and driving genes too.
The kitten thing is SO funny! I tend to read two or three books at any given point of time. I am also famous for not finishing books if they fail to hold my interest... Dont know why i start them in the first place!
Here is my take on Mac's tag..he'd tagged me too...

This one is an idea though :)
I especially appreciate #2. I'd never thought about it, but I, too, judge a tree's merits based on its climbability-- not that I do much climbing these days!
hey, thanks so much for tagging me :D I love tags! Will do it today itself :)
You used to bring puppies, kittens in your schoolbag?! With your books?! Does Maneka didi know about this?!
Kidding :D ... No, but seriously -if you come visiting Bangalore sometime, there are some mutts over here that could use the scholbag treatment.
Btw, nice list. Have put up mine already :D
@ann
nice of you to drop by. i noticed a mango tree today which was really inviting. do you have a favourite tree?
@n
:-) yaaaay. shall come by and read it.
